On July 3, 2013, The Cooper Trooper Foundation’s co-founder, Rod Cook, went home to Heaven after sudden cardiac arrest 3 days prior. Rod was the husband of almost 15 years to Missy, and father to Carson (10), Colby (7), and Cooper (4). He was truly one of a kind with a heart for God and others.
He was employed as a District Business Manager for Novo Nordisk, Inc. Rod was loved deeply by his friends and family. He loved his alma mater, The University of Alabama, and was an avid Crimson Tide fan. He enjoyed golf, coaching his son’s baseball teams, and most of all spending time with his family. He was the only son to Lamar and Mary H. Cook.
Rod loved the Lord and was an inspiration to others. His passion for helping other families who were walking through childhood cancer will continue to drive the efforts of the foundation. He will be dearly missed by so many. Please continue to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they face the days ahead.
